DaVo's Leg Tattoos
The first leg work I got was a band wrapping around my left ankle. Then after looking through Modern Primatives way too many times I decided to get the lizard but I wanted it a little different. So I changed what the lizard was holding to an eyeball and bomb. I guess to me it's kind of like a balance between insight and destruction. The scar or blank line toward the bottom is from the last Have Nots show.
DaVo's Back and Rosary Tattoo
I guess it started a long time ago when I saw this image in a book somewhere but I always wanted it. Even though I do not consider myself as a member of any organized religion, I still find the teachings and life of Christ to be the greatest guides to living your life. He represents a strength that we all have or could have in just how we interact with each other and in living our lives.
DaVo's Arm Tattoos
I started on my left sleeve way back in 1991 and worked on it off and on until 1997. There's a lot of images in there that cover that part of my life, and the pictures don't really do it justice. Look for some better ones in the future.
DaVo's Body Art
Hello my name is Davo (Dave-o) and I own and operate the Axiom in Des Moines, Iowa. We specialize in Body piercing which I have been doing professionally since May of 1994. I apprenticed under Chuck Hayes at Exotics in Omaha in 1994. I began piercing at Creative Images on June 1st, 1994 and then left to open the Axiom, which opened on March 28th,1995.
X - Beyond And Back/The X Anthology
OK, what can be said about this band that hasn't already been said?
Welt - Broken Down
OK, so I have some time to kill and I'm wandering through Best Buy (I know, I know, buying CD's at Best Buy isn't punk, but when you live in Des Moines you get music where you can) getting annoyed by the fact that I can't find anything worth buying. When like a star shinning from the heavens, there it was the lastest release from Welt. Something on Doctor Dream in Best Buy? When's Fearless going to get to that level?
Welt -Better Days
I think we all grew a little tired of all the Fat Wreck New School bands almost as quickly as we got sick of the 8.000,000 Moon Ska Bands but there is always a few that out shine the rest and Welt (even though they are not on Fat Wreck) do just that. There are those that go through the motions or cover themselves in a blanket of politics and then there are those that stand naked against the storm and let you in on what is inside, Welt does just that, time and time again.
The Teenage Frames - More Songs, Less Music
There is a few bands that just shake you out of whatever shitty ass mood you may be in and put you into a stupid, smile on your face mood. They have that hip mid 60s/70s mod sound that made bands like the Who, the Stones and the Jam. The boys from Chicago have all the Teenage anthems to shake away your blues.
The Loudmouths - Self-title
Imagine if you took the Humpers, hit Scott over the head and replaced him with the Dragon Lady. Then you'd be pretty damn close to the Loudmouths. A driving Punk-N-Roll soundtrack for those kill your parents, set the neighbors dog on fire, beat the brat, drink until you nolonger know your name, having sex with a 300LB Prostitute tied to a bed while being tickled with feathers by circus midgets in some dumpy hotel in Tijuana kind of nights.
The Humpers - Plastique Valentine
I remember thinking to myself, that it would be hard for these guys to follow up "Live Forever" as I slipped the CD into the player but of course I was wrong. This record beats the hell out of the last one and just keeps on dancing on it's corpse. From Scott "Deluxe" Drake Shouting, "I can't wait to see your face" to the last chord they keep ya glued to the site and holding on for dear life.
