I started doing these way back when the site was still on geocities, that must have been 98. It was long before everyone and their brother had a blog. They are part blog and part essay. Basically me sitting down and unloading whatever was on my mind at the time and also talking about some of the things that were going on in my life at the time.
At some point, I plan on starting to try to do these on a regular bases again. Who knows I may just move it into the my blog section.
DaVo's Leg Tattoos
The first leg work I got was a band wrapping around my left ankle. Then after looking through Modern Primatives way too many times I decided to get the lizard but I wanted it a little different. So I changed what the lizard was holding to an eyeball and bomb. I guess to me it's kind of like a balance between insight and destruction. The scar or blank line toward the bottom is from the last Have Nots show.

I guess it started a long time ago when I saw this image in a book somewhere but I always wanted it. Even though I do not consider myself as a member of any organized religion, I still find the teachings and life of Christ to be the greatest guides to living your life. He represents a strength that we all have or could have in just how we interact with each other and in living our lives.

I started on my left sleeve way back in 1991 and worked on it off and on until 1997. There's a lot of images in there that cover that part of my life, and the pictures don't really do it justice. Look for some better ones in the future.

This was a 21 & over show after an all age show. Valentine is a great band that I kept wondering how I was going to get people in front of. So I had them open for Radio Caroline. Which at the time had one of the biggest draws out of all the local bands.

I was looking forward to this show for sometime. The Loadmouths are a Punk-N-Roll band from SF with a female front person. Their CD was in the stereo nonstop from the day I got it until 2 or 3 weeks after the show. Doug and Michelle from Spank helped to bring this to the bar. I think Doug got more fucked up that night then he has in the past 5 years combined.

U.S. BOMBS / DROPKICK MURPHY'S - 12/9/97 - Sioux City, Ia
Well this show was first set up to be at the Safari, but when Shawn called it quits(on November 15th) I contacted Dave and Peter to have it moved to Sioux City. The thing that sucks is this is one of the shows that people were looking forward to. The other show I was sad to see go was Nashiville Pussy but easy come easy go I guess.
