After I completed new Iowa Underground Archives wiki site http://iua.axiompiercing.com. I decided that it was high time to rebuild the oldest site I own. This site was first started back in 1998 on geocities. At the time I didn't even have a computer and accessing the net through webtv and using the geocities html editor and html codes I knew.
At first it was simply one page with my bio and contact information but it slow increased to about 50 text full pages on everything from body piercing to music to my personal views. Once I got a computer in 99 I transferred the site to a free server and axiompiercing.com was born.
There was a short lived version with a flash intro that I built shortly after that but killed after a few months because of problems with some of the older coding and the drop down menus not wanting to work sometimes. Being on dail-up at the time even I hated going there cause it took so long for the page to load and the frame never really worked like I wanted. It looked cool but function wise it just had too many problems. It was around this time that I built the personal to try and solve the navigation problems. At some point the site was split in two.
I started building axiompiercing.com 3.0 sometime in february of 2003. It was a simple shell with a basic menu. It was a little more together graphic wise with a great deal cleaner fill. That version lasted the longest close to 4 years with an average of close to 5000 to 20,000 hits a day. It also had a site search engine which got a great deal of uses.
So here we are February of 2007 and at the end of the main building of 4.0. The site is now a php script based and a little more interactive. All the personal site is now included. From my personal reports/blogs to CD and show reviews. I will be uploading mp3s of some of the bands that I feel need more attention and plan on keeping up on the reports in the blog section.
Also you can know join the site and add comments, upload photos and blog. Though most of the site is built I plan to add more features and articals in the near future. One of the goals is to create the ablity for registered users to post their piercing or tattoo experiences here with photos in a blog form. I'm also working on developing a gallery2 interface that will allow users to upload photos, order prints and orginize into galleries.
